Andrew Wowk

Andrew’s introduction to DJing came at the age of 16 through work experience at the old community radio station, “Rhythm FM”, where he watched DJs such as Mark Dynamix, Leah and Jack McCord mix on air and became intrigued by the concept of constructing a DJ set. Two years down the track a set of decks and a mixer were purchased and he’s never looked back.

Now, at only 22 years of age, Andrew has achieved a phenomenal amount and things only look set to get bigger for the young man. In May 2004 and 2006 Andrew secured 3rd and 1st place respectively in the Sydney University DJ Competition. He has also been invited to support artists/DJs such as Funk D’Void, Phil Kieran, Rowan Blades, Vince Watson, Marc Houle, Gaiser, Kazu Kimura, Tipper, Ekkohaus, Luke Le Mans, Rogue Element, King Roc, Clive Morley, Lady Waks, Phil K, Dave Pham, Dean Millson, Danny Bonicci, Rollin’ Connection, and Kriece. He has also played guest sets in Melbourne at the popular Darkbeat and Intermission parties.

Andrew also devotes his time to promotion and production. He is currently co-promoting "Eat Musik", and was previously involved in “Subservice”, which featured guests such as Danny Bonnici (Melbourne), Rollin’ Connection (Melbourne), Dave Pham (Melbourne), Dean Millson (Melbourne) and Kriece (Perth). His first production, “Never Satisfied”, co-produced with local DJ/producer Mortlock, is forthcoming on Proton Music.
